Only 50 km north of the city centre of Dar es Salaam,
in the small village Mlingotini, is the charming hotel situated
just on beach of the Tanzanian shelf coast. Go New Bagamoyoroad
towards Bagamoyo, 15 km before Bagamoyo: just tur right at Zinga
and follow the signs.
From Bar and Restaurant you can enjoy local and international drinks,
supplied with the sea breeze and the unique view on the nearby islands
during tasting fresh sea food. We welcome our guests to full relaxation!
This is also a meeting point for Tanzanian and western culture, where
various activities will bring people together: Singing and dancing, art

ACCOMMODATION
The bungalows and all other houses have a local
"makuti" roof made out of palm leafs, in order to keep a pleasant

in the lagoon with a stop at a beach where the island split the
lagoon from the ocean.

sandbanks – may be with seafood and champagne (?), fishing
the local way, Sunset Cruise…..

Village Walk
for the one who would like to see how the villagers live their
traditional life in the village. We also include a visit at the
Traditional Healer and a small concert in a back yard with
Tegemeo Band!
Massage

traditional food with a group of ladies from the village.

some in cooperation with local fishermen. Go snorkling at the nearest reaf,
sail with an original ngalawa. Or what about having a walk in the village – just
see how they live! You are always welcome here: Karibuni! From the resort
you might enjoy a peaceful walk along the beach. Or may be you simply
prefer to spend a lazy day at the beach. Our friendly staff will enjoy
serving you what you want, from the bar or from the kitchen! Exciting

Values for the village:
We want to - be an important employer of villagers
- buy goods from the local shops
- buy seafood from the local fishermen
- a womens group are activated, see below
- create a general good relationship with the villagers and management, staffs and guests at Bomani
- participate with development projects:
we have estblished a fond account where the guests contribute. See below
Then we have started with renovating the school, and we pay half of the salary for the nursary school teacher, when the parents pay half of it! - we try to inspire the local ngoma group with giving the jobs entertaining the guests for a good payment, having workshops with a proffessional dancer, buying new uniforms and so on
- the local band does also recieve contributions and proffessional instrccution
- lots of projects are in our plans, but we chose to start "pole-pole", to make sure we have controle in all details
Tanzania culture and tourist sector:
Mlingotini Village is chosen as a Pilot Village (one of two in Bagamoyo Destrict), and BOMANI beach BUNGALOWS is playing an important role there.
Project 1: We have built a traditional house for various activities lead by an established group of 12 women from the village. They have been given a course by the authorities to learn about food, art and so on.
Project 2: We are developing a village walk were we include several local persons/groups. The persons we vivit earns money and the shops will be able to sell kangas and so on.
This activity is supposed to be run by the village: Some youngster are supposed to get a course fro the authorities as tour guides, to do this guiding. Then the direct income for the village also will be put into a good system.
Target groups:
1. As a Norwegian Tour Operator, our first target was our own clients - to make sure they got authentic experiences in the country. Bomani plays an important role in a bigger package in Tanzania for most of our clients.
2. All groups of clients looking for accommodation in a genuine environment, a wonderful nature and authentic culture experiences.
3. We are working on building relationships with other companies who would like to use us, and this is growing slowely now.
